OK, That seems like alot for an '02 Subaru and I agree. But have you actually seen very many of them of this age in the kind of condition that you would like to own? Have you heard what I have heard many times from buyers of much newer vehicles who have said "I wish I had my old one back". Do you know that when I find a good one, I have to pay what you had to pay retail for just a few years ago? That's the state of the car business these days, and if you want a good, clean, simple runner, you have to step up to buy it. If you don't care to have all the modern "frills" and mandated over engineered gadgets newer cars have, maybe you need to consider this. Had to pay the mechanic exhorbitant rates to chase computer problems? Well it is possible to go back to when some cars would go 200 or 300,000 miles with only minor "fixable" problems. So enough. If you stayed with me this far, then you might be a candidate for the car I have here. Spend less for less stress.
