This first generation MR2 was Japan's first production mid-engine sport's car, and mimicked the supercars of the 80's.    The very responsive chassis and handling was developed by a Lotus engineer and track tested in the states.  It's transverse mounted 1.6 liter dual overhead cam engine and slick 5-speed work in harmony to give you a thrill every time you drive it.  They don't make simple, reliable cars with so much fun factor built in anymore.
